Product Description
Augma 3D Bond™ is an innovative short-term space-maintaining bone graft cement specifically developed for predictable socket preservation and alveolar ridge augmentation procedures. Composed of pure biphasic calcium sulfate, 3D Bond™ is supplied in a convenient all-in-one smart syringe, allowing direct application into the grafting site with minimal preparation and maximum clinical efficiency.
Designed to simplify bone grafting procedures, 3D Bond™ offers exceptional handling characteristics. The material is easily injected into the surgical site, molded into the desired shape, and rapidly hardens upon contact with blood and saliva, creating a stable grafting environment that supports natural bone regeneration.
Unlike conventional grafting materials, 3D Bond™ does not require membrane coverage. The unique properties of the cement allow soft tissue to proliferate over its surface while preventing soft tissue invagination into the grafted area. This simplifies surgical protocols and reduces treatment complexity.
The material is particularly effective for socket preservation procedures and has demonstrated predictable regeneration of vital bone within approximately 3 months following augmentation, providing an ideal foundation for future implant placement.

Augma 3D Bond™ Bone Graft Cement
Intended Use
Augma 3D Bond™ is a short-term space-maintaining bone graft cement intended for use in dental bone regeneration procedures, particularly socket preservation and alveolar ridge augmentation following tooth extraction.
The material is designed to provide a stable scaffold that supports natural bone regeneration while maintaining the volume of the augmented site during the healing process.
Indications
- Socket preservation following tooth extraction.
- Extraction sockets with four intact bony walls.
- Extraction sockets with partial or complete loss of the buccal plate.
- Alveolar ridge preservation.
- Implant site development.
- Localized bone defect management.
- Dental bone augmentation procedures requiring temporary space maintenance.
Contraindications
Do not use:
- In patients with known hypersensitivity to any component of the material.
- In infected surgical sites that have not been adequately treated.
- In areas with inadequate blood supply.
- In situations where the clinician determines that bone grafting is contraindicated.
Warnings
- This product is intended for use only by qualified dental professionals trained in bone grafting procedures.
- Use aseptic surgical technique at all times.
- Do not use damaged or expired products.
- Single-use device. Do not reuse any remaining material.
- Ensure adequate debridement of the surgical site before placement.
Precautions
- Follow standard oral surgical protocols.
- Ensure complete removal of granulation tissue from the extraction socket.
- Avoid contamination of the graft material.
- Use only within the recommended working time.
- Protect the grafted site during the initial healing period.
Instructions for Use
1. Site Preparation
- Perform atraumatic tooth extraction whenever possible.
- Thoroughly debride the extraction socket.
- Remove all granulation tissue and pathological tissue.
- Irrigate the surgical site using sterile saline solution.
- Achieve adequate bleeding within the socket to support healing.
2. Material Preparation
- Remove the Augma 3D Bond™ smart syringe from its packaging.
- Verify product integrity and expiration date.
- Prepare the syringe according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- Ensure the application tip is securely attached.
3. Graft Placement
- Inject Augma 3D Bond™ directly into the extraction socket or defect site.
- Fill the defect completely without excessive overfilling.
- Shape and adapt the material using a sterile instrument.
- Allow the material to come into contact with blood and saliva.
- The cement will harden and stabilize rapidly in the surgical site.
4. Soft Tissue Management
- Primary closure is generally not required.
- Tension-free flap advancement is typically unnecessary.
- Soft tissues may be repositioned without attempting complete coverage of the graft.
- When indicated, protect the graft using Augma Shield™ wound dressing according to the manufacturer's recommendations.
5. Postoperative Care
- Follow standard postoperative protocols.
- Advise the patient to avoid mechanical trauma to the grafted area.
- Maintain proper oral hygiene according to clinical recommendations.
- Schedule follow-up evaluations as necessary.
6. Healing Phase
- The graft serves as a temporary space-maintaining scaffold.
- Soft tissue proliferation occurs over the surface of the material.
- Progressive replacement by newly formed bone occurs during healing.
- Implant site development may be evaluated approximately 3 months following graft placement, depending on clinical conditions.
Storage
- Store in the original packaging in a cool, dry environment away from direct sunlight and excessive heat.
- Do not use after the expiration date.
