Metal Cap for Locator Abutment 

Intended Use

The Metal Cap for Locator Abutment (651038, etc.) is intended for use in dental prosthetics to:

- Serve as a matrix housing for nylon retention caps
- Provide secure fixation of removable restorations on osseointegrated implants
- Support stable and reliable overdenture retention

Indications

- Use with locator abutments (651038, etc.)
- Removable implant-supported restorations (overdentures)
- Use in combination with nylon caps (661800, etc.)

Contraindications

- Do not use in patients with known hypersensitivity to titanium
- Do not use if the component is damaged or deformed

Preparation Before Use

- Supplied non-sterile
- Must be sterilized before use in an autoclave at: 135°C (274°F)
- Inspect the component for damage, deformation, or contamination prior to use

Clinical Procedure

- Ensure the locator abutment (651038, etc.) is properly installed and stable
- Insert the nylon cap (661800, etc.) into the metal cap
- Fix the assembled metal cap into the removable prosthesis
- Seat the prosthesis onto the locator abutment
- Verify proper retention, stability, and fit

Post-Placement Care

- Instruct the patient on proper hygiene and maintenance of the prosthesis
- Regularly check retention elements and replace worn nylon caps
- Monitor prosthetic performance during follow-up visits
