Intended Use
The Soft Nylon Cap for Locator Abutment (651038, etc.) is intended for use in dental prosthetics to:
- Provide low-retention fixation for removable restorations on osseointegrated implants
- Ensure gentle engagement of overdentures on locator attachment systems
- Support temporary and early-stage prosthetic treatments
Indications
- Use with locator abutments (651038, etc.)
- Removable implant-supported restorations (overdentures)
- Temporary removable dentures
- Cases requiring low retention and patient comfort
Contraindications
- Do not use in patients with known hypersensitivity to nylon materials
- Do not use if the component is damaged or deformed
Preparation Before Use
- Supplied non-sterile
- Must be cleaned and disinfected before use
- Perform cold sterilization using antimicrobial solutions or 70% ethanol
- Inspect for damage, deformation, or contamination prior to use
Clinical Procedure
- Ensure the locator abutment (651038, etc.) is properly installed and stable
- Place the metal cap (661803) into the prosthesis
- Insert the soft nylon cap into the metal housing
- Seat the prosthesis onto the locator abutment
- Verify proper retention, stability, and ease of insertion/removal
Post-Placement Care
