Titanium Bone Pin 3 mm
Intended Use
The Titanium Bone Pin 3 mm is intended for fixation of barrier membranes and stabilization of graft materials in dental and maxillofacial surgical procedures. It provides secure anchorage during guided bone regeneration (GBR) and related treatments.
Indications
- Fixation of barrier membranes
- Stabilization of bone graft materials
- Use in guided bone regeneration (GBR)
- Dental implantology and maxillofacial surgical procedures
Contraindications
- Do not use in patients with known hypersensitivity to titanium
- Do not use in cases where adequate bone support is not available
- Not intended for long-term or permanent fixation
Preparation Before Use
- Supplied non-sterile
- Must be sterilized before use in an autoclave at 135°C (274°F)
- Inspect the bone pin for any damage or contamination prior to use
Required Instruments
- Surgical mallet or appropriate insertion tool
- Optional: pre-drilling instrument depending on bone density
Clinical Procedure
- Prepare the surgical site according to standard clinical protocols
- Position the barrier membrane or graft material at the treatment site
- If required, pre-drill a pilot hole depending on bone density
- Insert the Titanium Bone Pin 3 mm through the membrane into the bone
- Apply controlled force to secure the pin in position
- Ensure stable fixation of the membrane or graft material
Post-Placement Care

Removal
